Course Requirements

One of the most important things for success in Instrumental Music is regular and consistent home practice. We require students to practice for at least 4 days per week for 15-20 minutes each practice session. This is not a lot of time but enough to ensure success and continual progress. I also have a weekly Practice Record that needs to be filled-out and signed. Each week I will give your child their assignment and a grade. This is to help you see how your child is performing in my class.

       Also, I am always available for extra help. In the event that your child is absent from school or not understanding something that was taught in class, please have them come to see me so that I can schedule a short make-up lesson. My goal is that the study of Instrumental Music will be an enjoyable and rewarding experience for your child and hopefully something they will participate in for many years.
